Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus: “I’m Cancer Free!” – News

Mark confirmed the news in a statement on social media

Blink-182‘s Mark Hoppus has told fans that he is now free of cancer.

The musician revealed back in June that he had been battling the disease but in a statement to fans yesterday (September 29), he was able to confirm that his recent chemotherapy has taken effect:

“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?”

His Blink bandmate Travis Barker and Simple Creatures collaborator Alex Gaskarth were among the many well-wishers celebrating with Mark on social media.

Huge congratulations to Mark on such great news.
