Jason Aldean Announces 30-Song Double Album, ‘Macon, Georgia’

Looks like Jason Aldean will be the latest country artist to jump on the double album trend.

We saw Eric Church announce a triple album back in January of this year, Morgan Wallen dropped his chart-smashing double album Dangerous: The Double Album in January as well, Cody Johnson has a double album titled Human on the way next month, Thomas Rhett released the first installment of his double album, Country Again… hell even Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert did it a few years back.

Yep, the double album seems to be the new trend in country music right now.

Titled Macon, Georgia Aldean’s upcoming project is a nod to his hometown which Aldean says has heavily influenced his career:

“Where you were raised has such a big influence on who you become and for me it’s no different…especially from a music standpoint.

My little hometown of Macon was heavily instrumental in my musical background.

Growing up in an environment that was a crossroads between Country music, Southern rock, blues and R&B, it was just natural to blend different sounds in my on way.”

He plans to release the first 15 songs on November 12th, with the first half titled, Macon.

Macon will include his Carrie Underwood duet, “If I Didn’t Love You” as well as nine other new songs. It will also feature five live performance cuts including “Amarillo Sky,” “Big Green Tractor,” “My Kinda Party,” and more.

The second half of the album, titled Georgia, is slated for April 2022.

Georgia will also include 15 songs, 10 new ones and 5 live cuts, however the live hits will be singles from later in his career like “Any Ol’ Barstool,” “Rearview Town,” and more.
