LISTEN: Hometruths’ Beautifully Sentimental New Track ‘History’ – News

A pop-punk ballad for the ages.

Hometruths have released a new track, and it’s one hell of a sing-along.

It’s called ‘History’ and finds the band in a sentimental mood, with huge melodies and shimmering chords aplenty encased in a pristine pop-punk shell.

It’s a different direction for the band but one that is exceptionally welcome. And one that holds a special sentimentality too

They had this to say about it:

“‘History’ marks the band’s first venture into the world of pop punk ballads. Every Hometruths song is a narrative, a story from the lives we live and the lessons we learn. ‘History’ is an anthem, reminding people not to live in the past or dwell on the bad things that have happened to us. Instead, ‘History’ is a reminder to be optimistic even through the darkest of times, and how love and life can change for the better over night, even when we least expect it.”

And here we gooo:

It follows on from ‘So Over You’, which sounds a lot like this:
